Captain Bill’s Restaurant & Catering: Premier Seafood Dining in Bay Shore, NY

On arrival, we were impressed with valet parking and courteous staff. We came for brunch, and the food really was delicious. The roast beef was the best I have tasted. Well done ! They included drinks and the champagne was very nice, which I really enjoyed. The venue, right on the water, made for a lovely atmosphere with ducks swimming gracefully nearby.

We stopped by for brunch and had an amazing experience. The food was full of flavor, and the roast beef stood out as one of the best I have ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly. The included drinks were a great touch, and the champagne was smooth and enjoyable. It made the whole meal feel special.

Cozy and relaxed atmosphere, the space is huge, and even with multiple parties dining in, this place sounded so quiet, which I loved. The staff are very kind and accommodating. I didn’t have this kind of dining experience anywhere in Manhattan. They are so human, even valet parking employees were kind too! Although the weather wasn’t so great, the sight would’ve been nice if the weather was nice. The seafood is great and fresh, but the best dish was steak from the weekday course menu. They served great steak dishes, and I loved that there were no fancy gimmicks. They genuinely know how to cook. Highly recommended, will visit again!

As a wedding photographer, Bayview House at Captain Bill's is a fantastic venue with stunning waterfront views that make for beautiful, romantic photos with epic sunsets, while the indoor areas offer a cozy, elegant atmosphere for receptions. The staff is friendly and organized, making it easy to capture every moment without any hassle. Overall, it's a charming and picturesque venue that provides a perfect setting for a memorable wedding.

This time I had the opportunity to enjoy Captain Bill's restaurant, where we were very well received. I went for lunch with my boyfriend and asked to be seated outside with an ocean view. The food was excellent, and we also enjoyed the company. We ate seafood, everything delicious. I recommend it Another lunch outing with my boyfriend at this restaurant. Romantic lunch date with the wife. Requested a table outside by the waterfront. Beautiful day & Amazing view. We have to go back for dinner. Tables next to us had shrimp & lobster rolls. Figures I heard after the fact that the lobster is to die for!

Came today for the 1st time for Vaelntines lunch. We had baked clams, buffalo shrimp, a burger, and the filet mignon. Service was great, friendly, efficient. THE VIEW! beautiful! Even with the water being frozen it was amazing. We definitely want to go back in the warmer months. Food: the buffalo shrimp were amazing. The baked clams were tasty but were alot of stuffing (like most places now a days). My daughter loved her burger, and our filets were perfectly cooked. Definitely going back.

Having our wedding at the Bayview House at Captain Bill’s was such a great experience! I was trying to be a very budget-conscious bride on Long Island (no easy task!!), but I still wanted to have a nice event, on the water if possible, for our guests. I spent about six months hunting and hunting for a venue that was near the water, had the right feel for us, and fit our budget. I looked into dozens of places around Long Island but finally found what I was looking for at Captain Bill’s. Their event rooms are lovely, they had a minimum guest count I could work with for my smaller event, and their event staff were very helpful throughout the process. Something I was anxious about as a bride was having a vision for all my tables and décor but being unable to be there the morning of the wedding to set everything up myself. But I needn’t have worried; I dropped everything off 48 hours early and explained where/how everything should be set up, and the event staff there nailed it on the day. Everything looked perfect and exactly how I’d pictured it! I was so happy when we got to the venue a bit early for pictures and I could see everything set up just the way I’d hoped. I got multiple compliments from my guests throughout the night on the food and the quality of the service and staff. The wedding package they offer is a great value for the price, and overall everything was excellent. I guarantee you will absolutely pay more for less at other wedding venues around Long Island, so consider Captain Bill’s!
